List of Wi-Fi adapter that is Fedora 30 friendly

I would like to thank you for all kind support for making Fedora 30 find the Wi-Fi adapter in my new HP notebook.
I have a plan to buy more new notebooks for Fedora 30.
I will first check the Wi-Fi adapter for smooth operation and upgrades.
Is there any list of Wi-Fi adapter that is Fedora 30 friendly ?

    Hello fdrnkfdrnk.

Looks like you will need to add that repo to solve the issue.

    Code:
    sudo dnf copr enable dcaratti/wpa_supplicant
    then run
    Code:
    sudo dnf update
    then reboot the system.
hope after you boot back again it will be solve.

In general Intel chips are well supported, The reason I ended up with the RTL8821CE is because I had a new HP laptop fail just a few weeks after I bought it and the retailer replaced it with a newly released upgraded higher spec model. Tbe downside was that the wifi card changed from Intel to Realtek but I could live with that using the Tomás Pinho repository. Although he has stated he wants someone else to maintain it in future due to a job change, he is continuing to keep the driver updated with any changes needed for newer kernels for now.

I have thought of making a copr repo for the RTL8821CE driver based on the Tomás Pinho repo as that would simplify updates for Fedora users but then I'd have to keep that updated as well. Another possibility would be for someone to package it for rpmfusion.

    That's it, Intel.

And I have bought 2 new HP notebooks with RTL8821CE, you are a life saver after each upgrade.
