    Dual Booting Fedora 30 with Windows 10

    Hi, i'm currently attempting to dual boot Windows 10 with Fedora 30. Everything works fine except that Grub does not detect Windows. If I change the boot order i can boot into Windows just fine. But i would like to have Windows in the grub menu

    Information:
    Both systems run UEFI.
    I installed Windows first then Feodra.
    I tried running $sudo os-prober but this returns nothing.
    Windows have 4 partitions however doing $ls in only show Windows as (hd1)
    I tried reinstalling the boot loader files with $dnf reinstall grub2-efi shim followed by grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/efi/EFI/fedora/grub.cfg

    Fdisk -l:

    If you run into this issue make sure Fedora is installed in UEFI mode. I thought it was, it was not..
    To check if Fedora is in UEFI mode simply $ls /sys/firmware/efi/ if this does not exist you don't have UEFI installed.
    You also need to run the media writer in UEFI mode to get Fedora to install UEFI. This was my misstake, I thought since BIOS is in UEFI mode so will the installation but this is not the case. The media writer have to be ran in UEFI mode.

    Re: Dual Booting Fedora 30 with Windows 10

    I did try to add a manual entry in the /boot/grub2/grub.cfg file that looks like this

    menuentry "Windows 10" {
    insmod ntfs
    search --no-floppy --set=root --fs-uuid 9e21f31b-88ee-47a4-8c3b-dc3f05a6ffd
    ntldr /bootmgr
    }

    where the UUID is the PTUUID obtained from $sudo blkid /dev/sdb

    This does however not work. I just get an error message saying that grub can not find the device. The menu entry appears though

    Looks like there is one digit missing in the PPUUID, but am not sure if you should use the PTUUID. I use the UUID below of the EPI partition in /etc/grub.d/40_custom

    menuentry 'Windows Boot Manager (on /dev/sdb2)' {
    insmod part_gpt
    insmod fat
    search --fs-uuid --set=root 1CC7-B119
    chainloader /EFI/Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi
    }
