    fedora 30 and firefox video(h264, youtube, gstreamer1)

Things have changed a bit lately with firefox, gstreamer1.16, compat-ffmpeg28, rpmfusion....
After a fresh install of fedora 30, and a 'dnf upgrade' you will be upgraded to 'gstreamer1.16' and firefox '66.0.3+'....

To get all firefox video to run under fedora 30, you no longer need to include 'compat-ffmpeg28' like you did with fedora 28, 29....
This will also get you fedora audio/video programs using gstreamer1 to play everything(mpeg4, etc.):
    Code:
    dnf upgrade
    dnf install https://download1.rpmfusion.org/{free/fedora/rpmfusion-free,nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree}-release-$(rpm -E %fedora).noarch.rpm
    dnf install gstreamer1-libav gstreamer1-plugins-ugly unrar
to check if everything(including h264) will work now in youtube: https://www.youtube.com/html5

note: In firefox addons/plugins - keep the 'OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco' (disabled)....
note: I included 'unrar' for those that still download videos, and need to extract '.rar' files....

edit: If you don't care about 'unrar' and extracting '.rar' files all you need to do is this:
    Code:
    dnf upgrade
    dnf install https://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-$(rpm -E %fedora).noarch.rpm
    dnf install gstreamer1-libav gstreamer1-plugins-ugly
