    Going back to Fedora 27 Gnome.

    I am using Fedora 29, and I intend to install Fedora 27 Gnome again. I have some extensions that I use, and these extensions make my use of Gnome somewhat enjoyable.
    Extensions worked with F27,m but with F28 started be non-functioning, it got worse in Fedora 29, and absolutely worse with Fedora 30.

    Perhaps next month I may take up Fedora30 using the Gnome alternative, "Deepin". I have been using Deepin for a few days and it is just great. With Deepin I won't need "extensions".

    Why install an older Fedora?
    I have the extensions I enjoyed using with F27. For me going back to F27 will be like wearing an old pair of sneakers, "comfortable".

    End Of Life - USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

    Once a version has reached End Of Life, you can expect that all support for it in FedoraProject has stopped. Some repositories may carry updates for a time after that, depending on their preferences, but eventually yum won't work and you'll have to either consider updating to a current version or trying to maintain your OS with outside support.

    Since dependency problems can crop up, I'd suggest checking here: http://rpm.pbone.net/ for packages and potential dependency problems.

    Another resource will be the Archived Forum, closed to posts but available for searches, and the Search engines within the Forum. I'd suggest using the Advanced feature and older search dates to get best results.

    I found the most recent version of CentOS gnome version to be the same as fedora 27. My favorite gnome extensions work. I am delighted. One nuisance is woodsy C compiler not recognizing the "restrict" keyword. A simple define of restrict to nothing solve the problem.
    #define restrict
    I'm good for a few more years of CentOS support.
