    failovemethod= option no longer used

    see REF: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1653831

    If you see lots of these in your /var/log/dnf.log:
    Code:
    2019-03-10T23:17:58Z DEBUG Unknown configuration value: failovermethod=priority in /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-cisco-openh264.repo; Configuration: OptionBinding with id "failovermethod" does not exist
    2019-03-10T23:17:58Z DEBUG Unknown configuration value: failovermethod=priority in /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-modular.repo; Configuration: OptionBinding with id "failovermethod" does not exist
    2019-03-10T23:17:58Z DEBUG Unknown configuration value: failovermethod=priority in /etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-modular.repo; Configuration: OptionBinding with id "failovermethod" does not exist
    this is because failovermethod= option does not exist in dnf now. You can remove the lines
    "failovermethod=priority"
    from your /etc/yum.repos.d/*.repo files manually or just run this sed command (does them all in one shot)
    Code:
    sudo sed -i '/^failovermethod=/d' /etc/yum.repos.d/*.repo
    Note that will edit all the repo files in one shot to remove that string, to be safe you might want to run this first:
    Code:
    sudo sed '/^failovermethod=/d' /etc/yum.repos.d/*.repo
    This is running it without the -i "in place" flag, so you can review the results onscreen before editing the real files or even make backups by appending "BAK" to the -i flag which makes a pre-edit file for each file with "BAK" appended to the filename.

    Code:
    sudo sed -iBAK '/^failovermethod=/d' /etc/yum.repos.d/*.repo
