Ekiga client stops working with Asterisk after F28 -> F29 upgrade

I regularly use Ekiga to connect to my Asterisk server. It was working fine with F28, but stopped completing registration after an upgrade to F29. I kept up regularly with the F28 updates, and never had any trouble. I installed F28 on a VM to verify that the Ekiga registers successfully.

On F28, installing ekiga installs the following extra packages (based on F28 Workstation LiveCD):
    ekiga.x86_64 4.0.1-40.fc28 boost-signals.x86_64 1.66.0-8.fc28
    opal.x86_64 3.10.10-9.fc23 ptlib.x86_64 2.10.10-16.fc24
    rarian.x86_64 0.8.1-19.fc28 rarian-compat.x86_64 0.8.1-19.fc28

My F29 shows the following packages:
    ekiga.x86_64 4.0.1-42.fc29 boost-signals.x86 1.66.0-14.fc28
    opal.x86_64 3.10.11-2.fc29 ptlib.x86_64 2.10.11-1.fc29
    rarian.x86_64 0.8.1-21.fc29 rarian-compat.x86_64 0.8.1-21.fc29

I've tried against two different Asterisk servers. In both cases, I can see with "sip set debug on" that I'm getting "REGISTER" packets from my client, but Asterisk is not sending back and response. There haven't been any changes to the Asterisk server.

Has anyone else had any trouble with this?

i couldn't get Ekiga to register with Les.Net
Uninstalled it and used Jitsi. Same settings, worked right away.
    F29 latest software.
    Try jitsi.

Well, doesn't solve the stated problem, but just downloaded Jitsi and it works fine. Thanks!

I've got Ubuntu on my machine also. I'll have to see if ekiga works with it.
    Glad it worked. Cheers

Just upgraded to Fedora 30, and tried again. Ekiga now works with Asterisk using Fedora 30. Not sure exactly what changed between 29 and 30 (some dependency, I'm sure).
