    How Does One Use Kgpg?

I'm frustrated enough that I should really open a rant. But I'll keep this short and clean.

What is the procedure for encrypting a file using kgpg on Fedora 29? I just recently discovered that right-clicking on a file and selecting "Actions" yields an "encrypt" option (which is great!). But I'm totally wrapped around the axle after that. Selecting ENCRYPT brings up two windows simultaneously, one to "select a public key" and one to configure kgpg, the assistant. I worked with the assistant first.

I proceeded to select all the defaults (the first for GnuPG Binary, the second for a configuration file, and selected "Generate a new key" and "Start KGpg automatically at start up"). Clicked on "Finish". KGpg exits at that point and the file seems unencrypted.

The page to select a public key seems to have no meaning for this task.

    Am I missing something basic?

Okay - I'm going to rant just a little anyway. The only gnu site I could find using duck-duck-go for this was dated 2011. Huh? And those who fail to date their technical sites (you know gnu who are!!!) AT ALL will someday feel the hot breath of my wrath breathing down upon them!

This site was at least revised in 2016

Thanks for the link, BrainBoy. I'll check into that.
