    Bluetooth disappeared suddenly

After a an update and reboot today, Bluetooth doesn't show up anymore and I cannot turn it on naturally.

    Message:
    No Bluetooth found
Plug in a dongle to use Bluetooth

This worked fine for more than a year...

    Any ideas?

    Re: Bluetooth disappeared suddenly

Is it a realtek device? Support was recently added to the kernel for RTL8821CE bluetooth and possibly some other variants but a bug was introduced causing some previously supported devices to not be detected properly after a warm reboot. So could you try powering down the system and do a cold startup and see if the Bluetooth device appears. The bug has been fixed but not yet back-ported to the current Fedora kernel.

I am not sure. I am getting :
02:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 11)
04:00.0 Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter (rev 31)

Well the Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 also does Bluetooth so it isn't Realtek. However I'm not sure if the recent kernel regression might have caused problems for other vendors devices as well. I take it a cold boot didn't help? I just wanted to rule out your problem wasn't because of this particular issue. You could also try booting back into an older kernel and see if it makes any difference.

The fact is that I have 3 of this systems, all of them the same brand, the same configuration. The other 2 systems don't have the problem at all.
So I guess that the bluetooth device gave up.
I plugged in a Bluetooth dongle. At least I have Bluetooth working again this way...

Sorry, I didn't check the BIOS carefully.
    Onboard Bluetooth isn't listed anymore...
As I said, it seems to be dead !
