    firefox 65 tabs on bottom

    firefox quantum 65+ tabs on bottom linux capable - your welcome....
    (bottom of all the navigation/menu/bookmarks bars - not bottom of screen, silly)

    the patch for firefox quantum 57-64 no longer works due to big changes in firefox quantum 65....

    step(1): create a file called 'userChrome.css' and place the following code there:
    /* .mozilla/firefox/~user~/chrome/userChrome.css */
    /* firefox quantum 65+ */
    /* note: '--tab-min-height' under 'height' - set both values to default:33px; compact:29px; touch:43px */
    @namespace url(""); /* do not remove */
    /* TABS: on bottom */
    #navigator-toolbox toolbar:not(#nav-bar):not(#toolbar-menubar) {-moz-box-ordinal-group:10}
    #TabsToolbar {-moz-box-ordinal-group:1000!important}
    #TabsToolbar {
     position: absolute !important;
     bottom: 0 !important;
     width: 100vw !important;
    #tabbrowser-tabs {
      width: 100vw !important;
    #main-window:not([chromehidden*="toolbar"]) #navigator-toolbox {padding-bottom: var(--tab-min-height) !important;}
    /* TABS: height */
    :root {
     --tab-toolbar-navbar-overlap: 0px !important;
     --tab-min-height: 33px !important; /* adjust to suit your needs */
    :root #tabbrowser-tabs {
     --tab-min-height: 33px !important; /* needs to be the same as above under :root */
     --tab-min-width: 80px !important;
    #TabsToolbar {
     height: var(--tab-min-height) !important;
     margin-bottom: 1px !important;
     box-shadow: ThreeDShadow 0 -1px inset, -moz-dialog 0 1px !important;
    #tabbrowser-tabs > .tabbrowser-arrowscrollbox,
    .tabbrowser-tabs[positionpinnedtabs] > .tabbrowser-tab[pinned] {
      min-height: var(--tab-min-height) !important;
      max-height: var(--tab-min-height) !important;
    /* drag space */
    .titlebar-spacer[type="post-tabs"] {
      width: 40px;
    /* Override vertical shifts when moving a tab */
    #navigator-toolbox[movingtab] > #titlebar > #TabsToolbar {
      padding-bottom: unset !important;
    #navigator-toolbox[movingtab] #tabbrowser-tabs {
      padding-bottom: unset !important;
      margin-bottom: unset !important;
    #navigator-toolbox[movingtab] > #nav-bar {
      margin-top: unset !important;
    step(2): go to 'about:support' page in firefox(type 'about:support' in the navigation bar and hit [enter])....

    step(3): under 'Profile Directory' click [open directory] button....

    step(4): create a folder/directory named 'chrome'....

    step(5): copy the 'userChrome.css' file you created and paste it in the 'chrome' folder/directory you just created....

    step(6): restart firefox and enjoy....

    note: I did not create this, I am just passing it on....
    note: post any improvements to this file you find/create for others, please....

    Re: firefox 65 tabs on bottom

    Starting with firefox 69(quoting from release notes):
    "Firefox no longer loads userChrome.css or userContent.css by default. Users who wish to customize Firefox by using these files can set the toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheet s preference to true to restore this ability."
