Which new Fedora logo design do you prefer?

Fedora Design Team leader Maírín Duffy published a detailed blog related to the refresh of the current Fedora logo. Including are the following candidates:

I don't like either.
I would like to see a darker higher contrast set of logos. If for each version set side by side, I would like to check box my preferred icon. And as well, to have a standardized font.

For an icon for booting, get rid of the teardrop. Use a wireframe F that is on solidly, with a font or thickening of the design as the startup is completed.

How about redesigning the logon screen. Does the window have to be centered? There is so much landscape available to contain some basic information about Fedora.

Both presented options are BORING and not memorable.

It would be great if some graphics designer who frequents this forum can provide an end-user design. Are we or not the tail that waggs the dog, so to speak.

The Fedora Design SIG is specifically for that, if anyone is interested in contributing they only need get in touch with the SIG. It's a group of individuals who contribute their free-time to all aspects regarding the appearance of Fedora on screen, in print etc.

Neither. Both logos remove the stylized f in the infinity symbol which is likely one of the best logos I have seen in a while. The proposed logos look just weird with no real connection to Fedora. It looks more like a combination of the letters d and P than an f. The teardrop can definitely go, especially on the boot screen. Why not go with a more 3D version of the current logo?

As a competitive logo, I like the boot logo from SUSE's Tumbleweed. It is attactive and clever.

I'm sorry, I read the link and I just don't buy it. You missed the biggest problem, changing the logo loses the "brand" recognition.
I for one would have voted to keep the existing logo if you had provided that option. You seem to be collecting votes to justify the change vs really asking our opinion.

My thoughts exactly, if I showed that to a random person and asked them what letter they saw you'd probably get 40% d, 40% P, 10% F and a few S's and C's etc thrown in for good measure. I hate to say it, but I think they're awful!
