reactivate coredumps, let palemoon crash, and mail the coredump to bugzilla.

Can you run Pale Moon from the command line, and then capture any output from the application crash?

Palemoon 28.2.1 was released in the last few days ... perhaps try that if you haven't already.

Re: F28: Palemoon is often crashing

I don't know how useful my comments can be, but as a palemoon user for some time, I can say that I've never had crashing troubles with it. On f28 I didn't use that kernel 4.18.16-200.fc28, but rather jumped to f29 where the current kernel I'm using is 4.18.16-300.fc29. It's unclear to me how you are running palemoon, and that may make a difference. Your error output in post #3 showed a core dump to /run/media, which made me wonder if you installed palemoon in a place other than your home directory. I have only ever installed palemoon in a directory of its own in my home directory and then created a script in /home/user/bin to point to it to start it. It means that palemoon can't be used by another user who logs in, but that's not a problem here. In any case, my systems don't use a /run/media directory at all, so palemoon couldn't dump there. So, I guess my suggestion is to try and run palemoon entirely from /home/user/<some-directory>. That doesn't account for the xcb error messages, so I would ensure that I had the latest xcb packages for your installation. My current f29 ones are:
    Code:
    [tom@owl RPMS]$ rpm -qa |grep -i xcb
    xcb-util-0.4.0-11.fc29.x86_64
    xcb-util-keysyms-0.4.0-9.fc29.x86_64
    xcb-util-wm-0.4.1-14.fc29.x86_64
    xcb-util-renderutil-0.3.9-12.fc29.x86_64
    libxcb-1.13.1-1.fc29.x86_64
    libX11-xcb-1.6.6-1.fc29.x86_64

Thank you, your posts are certainly useful.

/run/media/u1/F61...... is place on partition shared among other distributions and OS.

I've got both 32 bit and 64 bit versions:
    Code:
    $ rpm -qa |grep -i xcb
    xcb-util-0.4.0-11.fc29.x86_64
    xcb-util-keysyms-0.4.0-9.fc29.i686

    xcb-util-image-0.4.0-11.fc29.x86_64

Palemoon has never crashed in other distros so often (if ever)

Re: F28: high disk activity after palemoon crash

According to iotop, high disk activity is caused by systemd-coredump. But no file is created in /var/lib/systemd/coredump

Well, I would say don't use palemoon then, though I would say never use palemoon so

Re: F28: Palemoon is often crashing

It looks like you are running palemoon on f29 from those xcb packages in your post #8, so it's a nuisance that it's crashing. My palemoon is fine, but I don't have any 32 bit on my boxes, and I don't know what effect having them would make. The only thing that comes to mind is to perhaps try and see if the Basilisk browser works. It's made by the palemoon team but is always "beta" they say, so I suppose you could say it's more experimental. Despite that "beta" state, Basilisk has never crashed for me and I use it regularly and it does the same job as palemoon, but I'm not a particuarly hard user of gui browsers. It gets updated more often than palemoon.
