    Stuck at GDM start

I decided to dump my windows installation in favour of Fedora 29 Workstation, however when I try to boot up the LiveCD installation media I get stuck at
    Code:
    [ok] Started GNOME Display Manager.
    .
Tried ctrl + alt + fn + F keys to get a console, however system appears unresponsive and after some time I get a #1 CPU has been stuck for 22s message, followed by absolutely nothing.
Im trying to install on a MSI GE62 6QF laptop, with i7-6700HQ CPU and GTX 970m.

Any help is greatly appreciated since I'm still new to Linux.

Try the Cinnamon spin instead, GNOME+Wayland+NVIDIA is not a good mix

    Thanks, will try it.
If anyone has any use for it, I managed to grab the error journal.

EDIT:// Managed to get it working setting boot options to nouveau.modeset=0 i915.modeset=1
