    Post HP Envy x360 Ryzen 2500U test report on Fedora 29

    Memory 8GB DDR4 2400 MHz SDRAM
    Display 15.6" 16:9 Full HD (1920x1080)
    Graphic AMD Radeon® Vega8 with 1GB DDR4 VRAM Built-in Ryzen 2500U
    Storage 2.5" 9.5mm SATA 1TB 7200 RPM upgraded to Samssung 1TB SSD 860 EVO
    Card Reader 2 -in-1 card reader ( SD/ SDHC/ MMC)
    Camera HP Wide Vision FHD IR Camera with integrated dual array digital microphone
    Networking Integrated 802.11b/g/n/ac (2x2) Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® 4.2 combo

    Processor : Works out of box. Detected as AMD® Ryzen 5 2500u with radeon vega mobile gfx × 8 (optimization requires xorg-x11-drv-amdgpu)
    Display Tested on both Gnome Session and Gnome on Wayland
    Storage Works out of box
    Graphic Detected as AMD® Raven
    HDMI port Works out box (tested on an external HD TV monitor)
    Display port Works out box

    Webcam Gnome Cheese handles both regular and infrared camera. Need testing for Howdy not currently packaged

    Touchpad Works out of box using macOS method. Tunable to Windows style via Gnome Tweaks.
    Touchscreen Works with Fedora Kernel 4.19.3 and up (vanilla kernel will get the fix for 4.20.x)
    Suspend/Resume Works out box.

    �� Notes
    Some applications probably using Xwayland sometimes displays artefact when loading some applications like Mozilla Firefox.

    �� Summaryout of box using macOS method. Tunable to Windows style via Gnome Tweak.
    All test is done on an Design Suite 29 based on Fedora Workstation with nearly out-of-box experience.
    The battery usage is about 6 hours depending of the usage. Optimization such as powertop is needed to fully maximize power saving.
    Microsoft Windows 10 has webcam handling facial authentication via Windows Hello application. The equivalent howdy is yet available on Fedora repository but currently use CLI.

    Hi! I have a HP Spectre x360 df0709nz and its touchpad doesn't work out of the box. (My kernel bug report.) I just read your report and was wondering what you meant with "macOS method". Maybe it works for me, too, since we both have new HP laptops with Synaptics touchpads.

    First update the kernel to the latest stable and see if that resolves te issue.

    Thanks for the tip, but I already did that.
    As mentioned in the bug report, I tested kernel 4.20 using fedoraproject.org/wiki/Kernel_Vanilla_Repositories with the same outcome.
