    Re: firefox wont play video

I've had off and on issues with Firefox and videos over the years, I got fed up of trying to fix it and use Chrome instead. I prefer Firefox but I'm not too bothered by the switch.

Probably this is what you are looking for:

    sudo dnf config-manager --set-enabled fedora-cisco-openh264
    sudo dnf install gstreamer1-plugin-openh264 mozilla-openh264

Unfortunately it is not working on Fedora 29 (for me at least)

Regular fedora 29, it keeps complaining :

Error: Failed to synchronize cache for repo 'fedora-cisco-openh264'

    It will probably work soon.

    Re: firefox wont play video

I had the same problem when I installed F29-KDE but I fixed it by installing codecs. If you go to this Youtube URL, what do you see? You should see all 6 checkboxes are checked. If not all codecs are installed, you'll probably see these two are unchecked - H.264 and MSE & H.264

Also check what is showing in AddOns in firefox settings?
