    Linux (Ubuntu) Firefox 62.0

    partion latout for ssd and 5tb drive

    This is 2 part question on my hard drive settings Here my computer spec I have a i5-6 Intel with 23 g of ram
    1st question since I have 23g of ram do I need a swap part ?
    2nd since I have a 1 tb SSD and a 5tb drive if I want to use most of the SSD for fedora what partion layout should I use

    a swap partition is not necessarily needed with that much RAM. you can always create a small swap file if you find any programs won't run without a swap present, they really are few and far between these days though.

    there is no real recommended scheme to suit all users but if you aren't sure what to do then refer to these instructions:

    If using modern Linux distributions, you should reserve a swap partition of about 8 gigs for the resume function. Once you define the swap partition, put its value into the /etc/default/grub. Once you do that grub file update, run
    sudo grub2-mkconfig.

    The resume info from the grub file will be transferred to the grub.cfg file.
