    Unusual upgrade problem?

I have been trying to upgrade fedora however it gives me the following output after downloading all the packages:

    Total 1.6 MB/s | 1.8 GB 18:20
warning: /var/lib/dnf/system-upgrade/libde265-1.0.2-8.fc28.i686.rpm: Header V4 RSA/SHA1 Signature, key ID 09eab3f2: NOKEY
    Curl error (37): Couldn't read a file:// file for file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-rpmfusion-free-fedora-28 [Couldn't open file /etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-rpmfusion-free-fedora-28]
The downloaded packages were saved in cache until the next successful transaction.
You can remove cached packages by executing 'dnf clean packages'.

I went to their site downloaded the key for rpm fusion free and non free, and put into the folder etc/pki/rpm-gpg/

    however upon doing the command;

    dnf system-upgrade reboot

it still says system is not ready for upgrade.

How can I upgrade this without having to download the whole 1.8gb again for the fourth time? (firs time gui software manager failed, second time cli complained over fedora keys, now third time as per above)....

I cant see any help on the fedora wiki on how to overcome this particular issue. is it just "dnf fedora-upgrade"?

    Thanks in advance!

The way I read it, you cant continue unless you download it all again, which makes it saving the cache a total waste of time and space! Also, what do you think this bit means and is it importat?

"warning: /var/lib/dnf/system-upgrade/libde265-1.0.2-8.fc28.i686.rpm: Header V4 RSA/SHA1 Signature, key ID 09eab3f2: NOKEY
    Curl error (37):"

    Re: Unusual upgrade problem?

    Try,
    Code:
    # rpm --import /etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-rpmfusion-free-fedora-28-primary
    # rpm --import /etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-rpmfusion-nonfree-fedora-28-primary
    Are you attempting a system-upgrade from F27 to F28?

I went to their site downloaded the key for rpm fusion free and non free, and put into the folder etc/pki/rpm-gpg/
Then you should import these gpg keys as ROOT by command:
    Code:
    rpm --import /path/to/GPG-KEY
    Re-run upgrade command.

If I cant upgrade without having to download again, I may as well download the iso.

well from what I have read on the internet this is likely from rpm fusion because a lot of others using rpm fusion have this error.

I'll give this cli one more try, afterall only time wasted lol.

    I've removed fusion free and non free, but still am concerned about this line;

warning: /var/lib/dnf/system-upgrade/libde265-1.0.2-8.fc28.i686.rpm: Header V4 RSA/SHA1 Signature, key ID 09eab3f2: NOKEY

    rpm --import /path/to/GPG-KEY
You did substitute the correct path for /path/to/GPG-KEY ?.
    Change - the only constant.

    Lol no I didn't..

Anyhow I've downloaded the iso and installed from a disc now since I couldn't find a way to upgrade without downloading it all again. I hope things have improved in another two years time where I'm forced to update everything again. Shame developers don't think of wasted time downloading and the fact there was no error messages or instructions on why the update couldn't Contin.

Not thinking a Fedora problem per se, rather maybe package/repo/other issue. After all, it was only a missing GPG key from the package.

-my 2 cents (I am NO expert by any means).
    Change - the only constant.

I'm completely noob to linux, but I think problem was just like other said. You didn't had the gpg key thing.

    The error:
    Code:
    Curl error (37): Couldn't read a file:// file for file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-rpmfusion-free-fedora-28 [Couldn't open file /etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-rpmfusion-free-fedora-28]
probably occurred because file didn't exist or symlink to the "/etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-rpmfusion-free-fedora-28-primary" file was missing.
Maybe it was problem with file names. Since default ones in /etc/pki end to something like "*-primary" and manually downloaded doesn't have that extension
