Never mind. I went to dnfdragora and noticed that I added virtualbox repository per the instructions from Oracle. I am installing now. Thanks anyways.

    VirtualBox on Fedora Host

Not sure what I did incorrectly, but I do have the VirtualBox application installed. When I click on the application icon, it does open as expected. My issue is when I try to start the VM I created on it. Details are below. Please advise. Thanks.

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Windows Server 2012.

The virtual machine 'Windows Server 2012' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1 (0x1).

    Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
    Component: MachineWrap
    Interface: IMachine {85cd948e-a71f-4289-281e-0ca7ad48cd89}

I try to run /sbin/vboxconfig and get the following message/error: There were problems setting up VirtualBox. To re-start the set-up process, run
    /sbin/vboxconfig as root.

Does it give any other info in error. Also it's unclear did you ran it as root?

    Re: VirtualBox on Fedora Host

I was logged on as root. I did some searching and believe it may be due to UEFI secure boot. Here is the link I found. https://gorka.eguileor.com/vbox-vmwa...ureboot-linux/.

    Re: VirtualBox on Fedora Host

Okay. I'm still having issues with this. I removed VirtualBox via dnfdragora. I then used the links below as a reference. I have not installed guest additions yet because I am not able to start the VM yet. Has anyone used these with success? Thanks.

    Re: VirtualBox on Fedora Host

Virtualbox should work - it is used on large numbers of machines.

After installing it, did you reboot to ensure the kernel modules and networking all starts up the right way?

I did reboot. Networking seems fine. How do I check on the kernel modules? Please advise. Thanks.

I don't see any of those when I executed the lsmod. Please advise. Thanks.

    Re: VirtualBox on Fedora Host

That means virtualbox isn't installed properly.

Where did you get it from? You should install it from the Oracle Virtualbox web site directly. That is what I always do and it always works.

Note that your first step should be to install the development tools and kernel headers, since Vbox needs to be compiled on your machine.

I "believe" I followed the instructions from the Web site. I will look over it again. Is there any harm in trying to repeat the procedure? Thanks.

I just installed Virtual Machine Manager instead and was able to setup my first quest. I have removed VirtualBox from my system. Thank you trying to help me.
