Kernel Upgrade Breaks VirtualBox shared folder

I recently installed the kernel upgrade, extras, and modules. After I did so, my shared folder on my Windows host no longer appeared. To correct I removed the new kernel.

Re: Kernel Upgrade Breaks VirtualBox shared folder

It's possible you need to get an updated version of the guest tools package for VirtualBox. Perhaps it wasn't published yet in the dnf repos, or you have to perform some task on your virtual machine to initiate rebuilding the application for the new kernel. Sorry I'm not more specific, but I don't use VB. I do use other types of virtualization, and the VMware guest tools have to be rebuilt for each new kernel version in my experience.
