    AttributeError: 'FigureCanvasInterAgg' object has no attribute 'renderer'

    I am having a peculiar problem with running a python code on pycharm based on anaconda libraries. i am using python 2.7

    the error I am getting is : AttributeError: 'FigureCanvasInterAgg' object has no attribute 'renderer' that is originating from this line of code:
    img = np.array(fig.canvas.renderer._renderer)

    I am currently at my wits end trying to resolve this as it seems to work on other workstations except mine.

    what could be the issue here?

    You say that it "seems to work on other workstations".

    Can you confirm that by copying your python code to one of these workstations and testing it.
    If your code really does work then the answer would be that one of the python libraries on your workstation is either missing or not the right version.

    It would be better if you put your code in a [CODE] wrapper so we can see the tab characters.

    User error. Please replace user and try again
