    Nvidia / Steam (New to Fedora)

    Heya recently installed Fedora Workstation and Steam as ive never used Steam on Fedora before as im a Linux Mint kid. And I installed the GTX 970 drivers but when I try to launch the game I installed (CS:GO) on Fedora it says this:

    I feel like this may be a result of me using a new desktop environment.. Usually I use Cinnamon but this time im using GNOME ive heard rumors that if you use Gnome you may have to install your Nvidia drivers differently for gaming any suggestions? Iíll leave the way I installed my Nvidia drivers down below as well all replies are appreciated thank you.

    1. sudo rpm --import 'http://negativo17.org/repos/RPM-GPG-KEY-slaanesh'
    2. sudo dnf config-manager --add-repo='http://negativo17.org/repos/fedora-nvidia.repo'
    3. sudo dnf update
    4. sudo dnf install nvidia-driver nvidia-settings nvidia-driver-libs.i686 dkms-nvidia kernel-devel && sync
    5. sudo dnf install nvidia-xconfig
    6. sudo nvidia-xconfig

    I don't use the dkms version but I think it is here in this guide https://www.if-not-true-then-false.c...vidia-guide/4/. This is what I have always used and Steam games work fine for me.

    I read that using wayland can cause that error, though it was for a different case.
