I tried to install Fedora 28 on a brand new laptop that has a kind of Windows 10 initially pre-installed.

I wrote a Fedora 28 image to two different USB devices, a USB-memory key and a USB-disk. I disabled the TPM and tried both UEFI and non-UEFI.

But Fedora does not fully boot. In the end I get these messages:
(1 of 2) A start job is running for Monitoring of LVM2 mirrors, snapshots etc. using dmeventd or progress polling
(2 of 2) A start job is running for udev Wait for Complete Device Initialization

I also tried the latest rawhide images to no avail.

Have you any suggestions on how to install Fedora? What is the root cause of this problem? Should I be able to enable TPM and/or UEFI?
