    Re: FC28: Hardware Error and reboot

    I recommend disabling the nouveau graphics driver, and installing the rpmfusion kmod-nvidia
    (first enable their repository: https://rpmfusion.org/Configuration )
    and then follow this guide (I guess your card would be Legacy GeForce 6/7):
    https://rpmfusion.org/Howto/NVIDIA?h...tegoryHowto%29

    Once that is done and it works and you rebooted, then modify your /etc/default/grub file to contain:
    GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="rd.driver.blacklist=nouveau modprobe.blacklist=nouveau nvidia-drm.modeset=1 rhgb quiet nmi_watchdog=0 nohpet pci=biosirq rcu_nocbs=0-7"
    then type: grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg (that last path maybe different is you boot with EFI)

    then reboot

    I used nvidia driver via akmods but I had FC28: Kernel memory exposure attempt detected from SLUB object 'nvidia_stack_cache'
