How to add repositories in Fedora

I'm new to Fedora and I would like to add the RPM Sphere repository, but I'm not sure how to do this.
    https://build.opensuse.org/project/s...e:zhonghuaren#
    https://fedora.pkgs.org/28/rpm-sphere/

Fedora documentation indicates the following, but I don't know the repository URL parameter:
    Code:
    dnf config-manager --add-repo repository_url
The first link states: "Install "rpmsphere-release" package to add this repository." Does that have to be done manually? dnf does not find this package in the default repositories.

You can create a repo file manually or you can install rpmsphere-release-27-1.1.noarch.rpm.

To install the release package you can do something like:
    Code:
    sudo dnf install "http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/home:/zhonghuaren/Fedora_28/noarch/rpmsphere-release-27-1.1.noarch.rpm"
    https://fedora.pkgs.org/28/rpm-spher...rpm.html#howto

Thanks. The command with the URL you gave worked.

The HowTo in the link was different when I asked my question! It was all on one line and cut off in the middle of the gpgkey url with [...]

    1. How did you get the repository URL?
    2. The directory for the suggested repo file in the HowTo does not exist on my system (/etc/dnf.repos.d/rpm-sphere.repo), and lower on the page it then mentions /etc/yum.repos.d/rpmsphere.repo which does exist.
    3. The package is named 'release-27-1.1' while I'm on F28... confusing.

Never "copy and past" a url on the forum that has been truncated by substituting "[....]" for part of the actual url text. Doing so just copies it verbatim.

The /etc/dnf/repos.d/ was just an overlooked typo. The /etc/yum.repos.d/ is, of course, correct.

The release-27-1.1 package name is just a "name" and the originator hasn't bothered to change it. But the repo url the package provides does obviously point to the files for fedora 28.
    baseurl=http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/home:/zhonghuaren/Fedora_28/

It's not the url on this forum. I mean the entire HowTo Section was different and the gpg URL was truncated on this site just a few hours ago: https://fedora.pkgs.org/28/rpm-spher...rpm.html#howto

    Confusing to say the least.

    But thanks, it's solved now.

On a side note, I noticed that some of the packages in the RPM Sphere repo failed to build. https://build.opensuse.org/project/s...e:zhonghuaren# Will dnf refuse to install those packages?

Re: How to add repositories in Fedora

If a package failed to build, then there is no way to complete an rpm package from that failed build. So, no. Only successful builds end up as rpm packages in the repo.
