    screen resolution

    Hello
    I use fedora 28 workstation for i386, I chose the Xfce4 desktop, to improve the definition of my screen I use this command line:
    Code:
    xrandr --output LVDS1 --mode 1024x600 --panning 1024x768 --scale 1.0x1.28
    here is the script to automate the maximum definition under gnome:
    Code:
    [Desktop Entry]
    Type=Application
    Name=xrandr
    Exec=xrandr --output LVDS1 --mode 1024x600 --panning 1024x768 --scale 1.0x1.28
    under gnome I place it in this file:
    Code:
    /usr/share/gnome/autostart/panning.desktop
    where I put it under Xfce4 because the path does not exist with the Xfce4 desktop ?

    Regards
    philippe

    Re: screen resolution

    I have xfce4 and the path /usr/share/gnome/autostart does exist (without the panning.desktop file). Create a file named "panning.desktop", place it the autostart directory listed above, and copy your information onto it. I believe xfce4 to a certain extent is dependent on gnome, so your automation very well may work by creating this file in the gnome/autostart/ directory.

    Re: screen resolution

    In Xfce: Applications > Settings > Session and Startup > Application Autostart tab
    Use the + button to add an item. Check the checkbox on left to activate it. You'll find it in ~/.config/autostart.
