    Unable To Play Videos

    I am using Fedora 28 Workstation, 64-bit.
I am trying to play streaming videos such as this one: http://spacemov.is/movie/american-pa...2016/watching/ or this one https://www.filmlinks4u.is/beatriz-d...0-2-hd720.html but I keep on getting error messages like
Error loading player: No playable sources found
    or
Your browser does not support the playback of this video
What do I need to install in order to be able to play videos?

    Re: Unable To Play Videos

I just tried the spacemov link in the palemoon browser and it ran fine on f28 lxde 64bit spin. I don't think the particular spin shouldn't matter though. Palemoon is not in the fedora repos. The same link didn't work in firefox where I just got a static opening picture which didn't change but the music continued to play as if the movie was playing. Opening firefox in a terminal, the error was:
    Code:
    [fresh] [error] probe_ppp_module, can't find libpepflashplayer.so

Both play fine for me in Firefox. Have you installed all the gstreamers ?

I installed the plugins suggested in this sticky note: https://ask.fedoraproject.org/en/que...sten-to-music/
But the videos still do not play...
Anything else that I need to install? If so, can somebody please point me to some instructions as I am not much of a Linux expert?

    Re: Unable To Play Videos

Try this: In Software, choose Add-Ons, then you should have 8 options to install (gstreamer). Install all 8 and see if you have video. You MIGHT have to reboot to have it work.

I installed the gstreamer codecs and rebooted the PC but that did not solve the problem. Both movies play just fine with Ubuntu, so there must be something missing with Fedora...

Ah! Thanks for this post! I have installed Fedora 25 86x64 Workstation and the video on Facebook (like live Facebook videos) was not working on Firefox, yet, they were working in Google-Chrome and Chromium -- as for Videos elsewhere (at least YouTube) were working... now, since Fedora has new releases since v25, I best save this post.

Fedora 25 is end of life and has been for quite some time. At the end of next week Fedora 26 will also be end of life. Now would be the time to plan for upgrading (or clean installing Fedora 27 or 28 instead).
