    claws-mail-plugins-fancy not in F28?

I have just completed a (very smooth) upgraded from F26 to F28. After a day or two I realise that claws-mail no longer displays email in HTML format. Digging deeper uncovers that the "fancy" plugin is no longer installed:
    Code:
    > rpm -qa | grep -i claws
    claws-mail-plugins-archive-3.16.0-1.fc28.x86_64
    claws-mail-plugins-pgp-3.16.0-1.fc28.x86_64
    claws-mail-plugins-smime-3.16.0-1.fc28.x86_64
    claws-mail-3.16.0-1.fc28.x86_64
and worse, that f28 no longer knows this
    Code:
    > sudo dnf search claws-mail-plugin | grep -i fancy

    > sudo dnf repolist

I vaguely recall seeing a bug report that there was an issue with this plugin which would lead to it eventually not being supported, but cannot find this back. Anybody using this plugin on F28? If not, any suggestions to resolve this? Note: Claws still lists this plugin, so upstream still there.

claws is now GTK+3 but the fancy plugin has not been recoded for it so will not load even if it was available.

    I'm re-opening this old/existing thread.

It seems that all 3 html viewing plugins have been removed (dillo, fancy and htmlgtk). Anyone knows if there is an alternative?

    Thank you.

Using another mail program is the only alternative at present. The plugins were pulled because of security concerns.

    That is misinformation.

Claws Mail does not use GTK3 yet, but is still being ported to it. It uses GTK2. It's WebKitGTK for GTK2 that has been pulled from Fedora because of unfixed security issues, and the Fancy plugin was based on that.

With Claws Mail >= 3.17, the Dillo based plugin is back.

the plugins were removed from Fedora repositories along with the vulnerable webkitGTK so what I posted is not misinformation.

anyhow, good news they are finally being re-based even if it has taken a long time
