    UPDATE - Announcing the release of Fedora 28 Live-Respins with Spectre v4 mitigations

    Fedora 28 is available now. Read the release announcement for all the details.

    IMPORTANT - Before installation or upgrade please take the time to read the common bugs list.

    The Development forum has been archived, please contact forum staff if you need an active Fedora 28 related thread moving to the main forum. you can still view the archived Fedora 28 Development threads here

    The release of Fedora 28 today also means Fedora 26 will become end of life approximately 4 weeks from today in line with the Fedora release lifecycle.

    FOR YOUR INFORMATION - A noticeable change to the Workstation Live ISO is the removal of an option to set a root password during installation with anaconda. This is by design and not a bug.


    All other ISO including the netinstall version of workstation are not affected by this policy change. Whether they do alter them for Fedora 29 remains to be seen.
