Corsair Wireless VOID Headset charging hole started to melt

Hi! I'm not sure is this a right place for this. But I left my headset charging for ~20mins and when I came back the headset's charging hole had started to melt a bit. I think my headset got full charged, but my computer kept still charging it. Is there some way to prevent this happening in future. I would like to continue use Fedora but I would also like to avoid burning my home.

Your headset may have a defective battery. (Short circuit). Check the charger for defects too.

I don't know anything about electronics, any tips how to check it. Also if my battery is defective that way, should it always heat up as it charges(It hasn't heated up after that). I was kind of worrying it was linux problem because this headset isn't too well supported for linux. And with windows 10 I've been able to leave it charging for 6h without any warming.

it's nothing to do with using any particular operating system while the headset is charging, contact Corsair Support if they are less than 2 years old since you have a fault with your headset (before doing so, download and apply any headset firmware updates via the windows application for the headset and see if the issue goes away). it's potentially pulling too much current while charging from the USB port, which I've read about happening with Windows too in some instances.

Thanks for answers. I'm glad I was just un-lucky with timing of this problem happening. I'll contact the support anyway, because USB-port kind of got broken.
