F27 Samba File Transfer Drops Randomly

I have a fresh and updated F27 desktop and server. Samba is configured and sharing files normally. I connect to the share from my desktop and transfer files in the file manager. The transfer randomly drops the connection. Sometimes I get 200mb over, sometimes 500mb. I also have system monitor up and notice the entire connection drops, internet and all, for a very short time but just enough to kill my transfer.

I've tried different firewalls, ethernet cords and switches.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

Update: When I connect with SSH and copy files over that protocol, I get a very fast, consistent connection that doesn't fail. Samba seems to be the problem.

Using the name of your NIC try:
    # ethtool -S <devname>
This will show whether you are actually experiencing low level comms errors.

Or just list every interface with:
    # netstat -i
