    Installing Roundcube on Fedora 27 Server

    Hello all,

    I am currently attempting a bare-metal upgrade of my home server to Fedora 27. I have the Dovecot IMAP server up and running and listening on port 993. That works just fine.

    I am however somewhat tired of squirrelmail as my webmail server - and besides, I have failed to get that working for some (possibly related) reason.

    So I have downloaded Roundcube (using dnf) and tried various installation guides, but when I get to the part about "point your browser to <server address>/roundcubemail/installer" all I get is:
    Code:
    Forbidden

    You don't have permission to access /roundcubemail/installer on this server.
    The only thing I can find in the logs is the, rather unhelpful, message:
    Code:
    [Fri Apr 13 08:48:12.445842 2018] [authz_core:error] [pid 3235:tid 139871909832448] [client my_IP_address:52058] AH01630: client denied by server configuration: /usr/share/roundcubemail/installer
    BTW - I have selinux set to "permissive" at the moment because I know that would have an apoplectic fit over something like this (I will get round to fixing selinux issues onece I have everything up and running).

    Where do i start with troubleshooting this?

    Thanks

    AD

    p.s.
    in my /etc/httpd/conf.d/roundcubemail.conf I have this:
    Code:
    <Directory /usr/share/roundcubemail/installer/>
        <IfModule mod_authz_core.c>
            # Apache 2.4
            Require local
        </IfModule>
        <IfModule !mod_authz_core.c>
            # Apache 2.2
            Order Deny,Allow
            Deny from all
            Allow from 127.0.0.1
            Allow from 192.168.0/24
            Allow from ::1
        </IfModule>
    </Directory>
    (I am at the moment trying to install whilst on my home network - 192.168.0.2)

    Re: Installing Roundcube on Fedora 27 Server

    OK - Answering my own question...

    It seems, putting "Require all granted" in /etc/httpd/conf.d/roundcubemail.conf seems to do the trick. I have no idea if this is an approved method or not.

    BTW - Now that I have got past the initial config stage I still have some issues. What is the best source of support for Roundmail issues?

    Thanks in advance

    Does this help? (No personal experience, just put roundcube support in as a search term)

    Sorry for slow reply - I seem to have notifications turned off and missed your reply - but thanks!

    I have registered with that forum and I am working through the issue there (although I have got beyond the initial config stage I still cannot yet log in...

    Thanks again...
