    Question Upgrading (against known issues)

At present, I am running F27 & I have some, what I believe to be, "cosmetic" issues. (so far everything seems to work correctly in spite of a boot error)
So my question is, if I go ahead & upgrade to F28, what are my chances that it will fix my issue -vs- still having it?

    Thanks

    Re: Upgrading (against known issues)

I would wait several weeks after the official release of Fedora 28 (some time in May) -- to give the developers time to fix any glitches. As far as fixing "cosmetic issues", upgrading could possibly correct them, but there are no guarantees. I have, however, noticed a steady improvement in performance with every new release (in any case, you should do a system-upgrade every year; after that your system will receive no upgrades so your system would be in jeopardy). I personally do a system upgrade each time a new Fedora version comes out.

Every time I do a kernel update, it changes nothing. I still get the same error. So I'm thinking an UPGRADE is gonna act the same way.
    Oh well...

well if you don't report the issues, lack of change is the only constant where kernel upgrades are concerned. if you have reported the issue previously, keep telling them it isn't fixed and supply the necessary information they ask for until it is fixed.
