Re: No more gnome use after upgrade

Now for some reason I cant find the screensaver settings for fedora 25, I have tried to look for power management settings but cant see them either, where are they? I tried searching in the normal software package and yum extender, did some googling but cant see any specific package. Any ideas anyone?

Re: No more gnome use after upgrade

Hi guys, after some further reading on the net I found my card was indeed on the list of nvidias supported drivers which I installed via this command line

    dnf install xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-304xx akmod-nvidia-304xx
    dnf update -y

    From this site
    https://rpmfusion.org/Howto/NVIDIA#Legacy_GeForce_6.2F7

However upon install and then reboot the list of programmes you see with the ok upon start up goes on until it says it's loading up gnome however it then just flickers the screen over and over again and doesn't get to the point of login, did I miss something?

Re: No more gnome use after upgrade

I'm curious about this advice though because it said it completely installed before I did a reboot

Please remember to wait until the kmod get built each time a new kernel rise up. This can take up to 5 minutes on some systems.
