While commands like lsblk (ex: lsblk & lsblk -S) and lshw (ex: lshw -class tape -class disk -class storage -short) show disk devices and the like, they do not match the names in VMWare. For instance the SCSI control numbers may be different. Also SCSI device ID's in Linux revert to letters when there are many devices while in VMWare the device numbers simply use 2-digits.

What Linux command can I use to see disks and disk controllers the way VMWare see's them?
