    My Connection Name

    Hello,

    If I run a who command or even w I can see a list of all the connections to the host system.

    Example:
    Code:
    (unknown) :0           2018-02-23 15:51 (:0)
    michaelx pts/0        2018-03-12 07:37 (pc01.abc.local)
    billx   pts/1        2018-03-12 07:37 (pc02.abc.local)

    What command can I use to get just my connection name (Ex: pc01.abc.local) from above?

    Thanks,

    Michael

    Try this:
    Code:
    $ who | grep $(whoami)
    gene     tty1         2018-03-11 18:46 (:0)
    whoami returns your user name.
