When will LibreOffice 6.x update land to repos?

    Hi everyone...

I have been using FEdora xfce 27 and I love it.everything works very well on my old desktop and what I love about Fedora is frequent updates...

But LibreOffice 6.x has been release a while ago and dnf-dragora still lists LO 5.4.5 , still no LO 6.x update for me...

Updating LO is not a big deal for me but I am just curious... LO 6 seems to be a big leap...

Thanks for reading - have a nice day ...

I found it in the "daily compose repositories" and in Rawhide. The daily compose uses F28 repositories, which contain LibreOffice, and of which at this moment, to which I do not have a link
    Index of /compose/branched/latest-Fedora-28/compose

you may want to actually visit the libreoffice website at https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download/ and download the latest version (note the double download/download )

Fedora 28 will get LibreOffice 6.0.X, Fedora 26 and Fedora 27 will not. The only way to stay with 'fresh' libreoffice is to use the upstream packages as leslie suggests.

Or compile your own from source... not recommended unless you hate yourself.

For what it's worth, on CentOS-7.x, I just downloaded the package from Libreoffice's site and it installed without issues. You cd into rpm directory and run sudo rpm -ivh *rpm and it installed. (I first removed all libreoffice rpms that I'd installed with yum beforehand.)

Antikythera, Please do not credit me with the idea. Your earlier posting about this subject was what I seized upon.

it's better to use yum or dnf, that way the packages being installed are recognised by the same package manager database normally used during package upgrades properly

Thank you very much for your responses, antikythera explained well. I think there is no need to hurry...
