    Screen tearing in Firefox

Howdy, I just got a new laptop (Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro 15") and it's got an i5-8250U and an Nvidia MX150 with Nvidia Optimus.

I haven't made any attempts to set up optimus yet as I haven't really needed it. I'm just using the intel integrated chip at the moment.

I don't seem to have any screen tearing while watching videos, and I'm not sure what other applications to try out for screen tearing during scrolling. I can't tell if I've got the issue in the terminal, so I don't think I do.

Does anybody know where I should start with troubleshooting?

    Thanks

For intel xorg driver (don't use the generic modesetting driver): enable tearfree option.
    For firefox:
    - gfx.vsync.compositor
    - gfx.vsync.hw-vsync.enabled
    - gfx.vsync.refreshdriver

Dutchy, thanks for the reply. Could you be more clear about how to change the settings you mention?
