    Can't use MEGASync after dnf update.

    Hi there,

    I have been using MEGASync for a long time. However, after "sudo dnf update" yesterday, I would no longer see MEGASync in the notification area. By executing "megasync" in the console, I would get an error message below.

    [erick@Presario-F763NR ~]$ megasync
    megasync: symbol lookup error: megasync: undefined symbol: _ZNK8CryptoPP8Rijndael3Dec21AdvancedProcessBlocksE PKhS3_Phmj

    I tried fixing it by using the command "sudo dnf reinstall megasync", but it would not help. I tried downloading MEGASync client from its website, but it would not help either.

    Thank you.

    I am using Fedora 27 Cinnamon Spin, however.

    megasync needs to be rebuilt against the new cryptopp version (cryptopp-5.6.5).

    Thanks. I will need to wait for RPMfusion team to do it right?

    I can't find it https://pkgs.rpmfusion.org/cgit/?q=mega https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/...ge&terms=mega*
    If you can provide a url showing/proving it's a rpmfusion or fedora package I will rebuild it.

    I did "sudo dnf reinstall megasync" yesterday, so I am thinking it must have come from RPM fusion I only know this much though.

    I also found this post here, just now. Look like, it comes from RPMFusion repositories as well.

    Basically upstream needs to rebuild to accommodate new library version provided by Fedora. I don't think RPMFusion is providing this package, you've most likely installed it from mega.nz using their official repo.

    Hi,

    I have the same problem. The repository is the official MEGAsync repo:

    [MEGAsync]
    name=MEGAsync
    baseurl=https://mega.nz/linux/MEGAsync/Fedora_$releasever/
    gpgkey=https://mega.nz/linux/MEGAsync/Fedora_$releasever/repodata/repomd.xml.key
    gpgcheck=1
    enabled=1

    Re: Can't use MEGASync after dnf update.

    Hi there,

    I have just executed "sudo dnf update", and I found the newer version of MEGASync. It appears to fix this issue.

    Thank you.
