If successful it will create an iso that is named whatever you name it (a name that follows "--iso-name"). I suppose if you don't name it, it will be called "boot.iso".

Thank you for replying. I don't see lmc folder. I think I followed all steps.

If you used mock, check here: /var/lib/mock/fedora-27-x86_64/root/var/lmc/
Please show your livemedia-creator command with all of the options (one option should be "--resultdir /var/lmc")

I found it. The folder shows me a small symbol of lock on the folder.

I believe the file has a lock on it because it is owned by root, not user. But that is as it should be.

How can I access it as root? And I am the root there.

Just copy iso to usb drive using root or sudo: "sudo cp /path/to/Custom-Fedora.iso /path/to/usb/partition". Or just use dd: "sudo dd if=/path/to/Custom-Fedora.iso of=/path/to/usb bs=4M". Be very careful with the dd command; if you give the wrong path, you could end up deleting your OS. Run "sudo fdisk -l" to find the proper path to your usb drive. Usually it will be /dev/sdb (unless you have more than one hard drive or more than one usb drive connected to your system.

only the second option, using dd would result in a bootable ISO wouldn't it? the first simply puts the ISO file onto a USB stick but a PC wouldn't know to boot it unless you made a custom GRUB entry specifically for that purpose.

You are right, antikythera. I was referring to a usb drive that had already been set up for multibooting isos -- in that case, as you know, you would just copy the iso to a directory (maybe named iso). My explanation was unclear and, therefore, would only lead to confusion. Thanks for your clarification.

Thanks. I find it strange. I made a copy of iso into usb. It shows me 900 mb instead of over 1 gb.

Re: Updating fedora iso with newest kernel using Livemedia-creator

Not sure how you measured the size. Try measuring like this: "ls -lh /path/to/Fedora.iso". If you used dd, it should have created three partitions on the usb drive. In any case, try booting the usb drive.
If it does not boot, run the dd command again; make sure the drive is not mounted: "dd if=/path/to/Fedora.iso of=/path/to/usb-drive bs=4M". You can also check whether the iso boots by using qemu. If you don't have qemu and kvm installed, this should install them (as well as a few more packages): "sudo dnf install @virtualization".

Then run this qemu command: "$ qemu-system-x86_64 -enable-kvm -m 1024 -cdrom path/to/Fedora.iso -localtime". If you have a 32 bit system, use qemu-system-i386 instead of qemu-system-x86_64. If your system is relatively old, it might not have the capacity to enable kvm, so it might not work to test your iso.

    I got like this

    -rw-r--r--. 1 root root 866M Mar 10 23:59 /var/lib/mock/fedora-27-x86_64/root/var/lmc/Fedora-27-x86_64.iso
