Updating fedora iso with newest kernel using Livemedia-creator

    It said no command found.

I was trying to follow this instruction.

    https://forums.fedoraforum.org/showt...-s-work-around

Can you please change the thread name to "Updating fedora iso with newest kernel using Livemedia-creator"? Thank you

    Re: mock command in terminal

It looks like Fedora has pulled its livemedia-creator wiki -- hopefully they will replace it with an updated version soon. Here is something that will get you started: https://forums.fedoraforum.org/showt...-creator-usage As is explained here, first you must install lorax livemedia-creator, mock, pykickstart. You also must create your own kickstart and flatten it. As antikythera says, you must be patient and be willing to persist despite initial failures.

Thank you. I am going to do that today. Let's see if it's successful.

    Re: mock command in terminal

Follow steps 1 - 4 on antithykera's thread, then skip to the second thread. He chooses fedora-live-mate_compiz.ks to flatten -- there are others you could choose (fedora-live-xfce.ks, fedora-live-lxde.ks, fedora-live-soas.ks, fedora-live-kde.ks, etc.). If you choose another spin, then make sure when you flatten the fedora kickstart, you change the names accordingly (you must choose a fedora-live kickstart to flatten, otherwise you will end up with an error message. Once you get this far, ask for help so that you can change the flattened kickstart correctly.

If anyone is following this thread -- antithykera in particular -- do you know why the fedora livemedia-creator wiki has disappeared -- and when or if fedoraproject plans to replace it??

    Re: mock command in terminal

Overclocked, when flattening your kickstart file, be sure to change to the proper version (-version F26 --> --version F27, etc.). Also at the end of your flatten-command you don't need "--macboot" unless you are running a mac, and make sure that everything in the command refers to your kickstart (unless you have a mate_compiz kickstart you should not have anything that is referring to mate).

it must have been removed because it was no good any more. I don't know when it will be re-written for the current tools as I'm not involved in the working group responsible for it or the wiki

Will I just stop at 4 steps after I follow 1 - 4 steps? antikythera just said it must have been removed.

we're discussing a Fedora Project wiki, not my thread. if following my thread you need to keep going and read on or the build will fail.

Overclocked and antikythera, the fedora livemedia-creator wiki has returned -- don't know why it was temporarily replaced by an older wiki. Overclocked, follow antikythera's thread and refer to Fedora's wiki -- between the two of them you should have plenty of good information. Here is the wiki's url again:

Marko, thanks for that information. It is obvious that the folks at FedoraProject have been hard at work revising the livemedia-creator wiki.

    Does it really create boot.iso?
