updgrade issue from Fedora 26 to Fedora 27

    When I enter the command:

    dnf system-upgrade download --releasever=27

    I get the message:

    Error:
Problem: package netactview-0.6.3-2.fc21.x86_64 requires libgtop-2.0.so.10()(64bit), but none of the providers can be installed
    - libgtop2-2.36.0-1.fc26.x86_64 does not belong to a distupgrade repository
    - problem with installed package netactview-0.6.3-2.fc21.x86_64

Is this package obsolete and therefore can be skipped?
Also, if that is the case I'm not sure what command to enter to allow that to happen.

If this is a bigger problem that needs to be fixed I also am not sure what to do, any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Add the option "--allowerasing" (without quotation marks) to your system-upgrade command and rerun the command. It appears that netactview is no longer available on the new Fedora system. Make sure to following instructions on the Fedora system-upgrade wiki (which explains this situation): https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/DNF_system_upgrade Refer to #5 of this wiki.

Re: updgrade issue from Fedora 26 to Fedora 27

Thankyou for letting me know that netactview is no longer available, it is very much appreciated. I sadly have a new problem after using the "--allowerasing" flag I now receive the following message:

Error: Failed to synchronize cache for repo 'updates'

I ran a "dnf clean all" but the error persists.

any help would be most appreciated

Check that you have an internet connection. That is the error I get when my internet is down.

Re: updgrade issue from Fedora 26 to Fedora 27

I definitely have the internet working just fine; I tried using the gnome software GUI and it at least seemed to download all of the necessary
files for the upgrade to Fedora 27, but during the reboot something went wrong and the installation process did not take place, followed by
a quick reboot back into Fedora 26. I guess my next question is how do I view system logs in Fedora? The gnome GUI for log viewing seems
completely useless. Thanks in advance for any help.

Enter "sudo journalctl -r" which will list most recent events first.
