[SOLVED] how to unzip *.7z files?

    how to unzip *.7z files?

    I downloaded a few tools in *.7z format.
    I would think it is some kind of zipped file. So I did try unzip and gunzip
    but failed to get anything, please help

    Install p7zip and p7zip-plugins.

    never mind
    found the solution, installed p7zip.x86_64 through dnf
    then
    7z e *.7z
