    route Persistence

    Hello,

Would the following route add be made persistent, i.e. would a reboot make it disappear?

    route add -host 192.168.1.101 reject

    Thanks,

    Michael

    Re: route Persistence

The route command will only run for that runtime session in which you use it. To make it persistent you will need to write a configuration. You could use the /etc/rc.d/rc.local file to simply run that command at boot time, or write a configuration file in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ ... which I haven't done recently. You might have to research that one.
