    Suspend - black screen

    Hi,

i have problem with fedora suspend (laptot Dell Latitude 5580). If i resume from supend monitor is black. I can connect via ssh. I can't controll brightness of monitor (from beggining) so i setup kernel parameter acpi_backlight=vendor. After suspend if i connect via ssh and try xrandr or xset system call me that monitor is disabled. And xrandr call no outpuot display.

Do you know how where is problem, or how manually switch on display?

See if dmesg shows any driver module failure.

I have similar issue with resume from suspend that started occurring after kernel update, and mostly shows failure in proprietary nvidia driver function. It worked so well before, so I suspect nvidia and new kernel inconsistency. In my case, xorg just restarts and GUI login comes up, but it's very unstable (weird disk I/O and/or network I/O).

Latest update to kernel 4.15.15 seems to have resolved my issue. You could try updating to the latest version and see if that resolves the issue.
