Question F27 Workstation TouchPad not working on lenovo

I have a fresh install of Fedora 27 workstation 64 bit installed on a Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11s.

The only thing that hasn't been working 100% is the touchpad. I have exhausted all the things I can come up with for troubleshooting, including getting the legacy driver package installed and configured.

    libinput-list-devices shows the touchpad:

    Code:
    Device: SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad
    Kernel: /dev/input/event4
    Group: 11
    Seat: seat0, default
    Size: 87x58mm
    Capabilities: pointer gesture
    Tap-to-click: disabled
    Tap-and-drag: enabled
    Tap drag lock: disabled
    Left-handed: disabled
    Nat.scrolling: disabled
    Middle emulation: disabled
    Calibration: n/a
    Scroll methods: *two-finger edge
    Click methods: *button-areas clickfinger
    Disable-w-typing: enabled
    Accel profiles: none
    Rotation: n/a
Running libinput-debug-events shows no events from the touchpad at all, but all other devices reports as expected.

Using the synclient tool that is included with the legacy package, I can see that the TouchpadOff option is set to 2, which is supposed to just disable tapping and scrolling, however setting it to 0 (touch pad on) does not stick nor does it allow the touchpad to work.

    uname -a
    Linux delorean 4.14.11-300.fc27.x86_64 #1 SMP Wed Jan 3 13:52:28 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Any suggestions on what to try next?

Side note: The touchpad is confirmed to be working with Windows 10, and ChromiumOS on this laptop.

Well, for what it is worth. This resolved it self, seemingly. I connected a Bluetooth mouse, and ever since then, the touch pad works as expected. Scrolling, tapping, everything. So IDK.

The workaround, appears to be suspended the laptop, letting it get into a full sleep cycle, and then resuming it. After which, the touchpad works as expected.

Possibly an issue of the order of drivers on boot up? Any suggestions?
