Flatpak vs Xapps on Fedora 27 Spin.

    Hi there,

I am using Fedora 27 Cinnamon Spin. I also knows for the fact that Fedora uses Flatpak, heavily, lately. However, I heard Cinnamon uses XApps. My questions to you are below.

    1. I have been using RPM Fusion for both Free and NonFree, to install many things, especially Playonlinux and VLC, since Fedora 18. How many of you starts to use something like FlatHub already? I heard it only been launched for one year, so what is your opinion? Is it a better maintainer?

    2. Would the software perform better using RPM Fusion, FlatHub, or XApps? Who are the better maintainers than the others?

    3. How do I use "XApps store" in Fedora 27 Cinnamon Spin?

    Thank you so much.

    1. RPM Fusion package maintainers are also Fedora package maintainers, any rpm's used are going to be better than some generic flatpak package.
    2. RPM packages are better than flatpak as they are smaller, better optimized for fedora and are more secure.
    3. You don't, "XApps store" doesn't exist!
mintinstall software manager uses apt so is useless for fedora.
    mintinstall has flatpak support!

Thank you so much. I heard from the news this week, that GIMP has just used Flatpak, so I thought it might perform better. Your information is very helpful.
