Cannot install both compat-openssl10-devel and openssl-devel at the same time

The compat lib should be installable at the same time as the standard lib. Yet, instead I get this:

Why do you need both at the same time?, no code uses both at the same time!
I reckon your bugzilla report will be closed as 'wont fix'.

If you read the details I posted on the RVM report, it's for developers and QA to be able to install multiple versions of Ruby via RVM. I don't want to give them sudo permissions, and I don't want to constantly be swapping which openssl-devel lib is installed when they need to install a different version of Ruby. It's bad enough that I have to manage a dozen of these systems.

They wont fix it as resolving the file conflict will break fedora builds at koji using compat-openssl10-devel.

I don't really know how koji works, or how it would break it. I would however love to be enlightened

This is a pretty serious hurdle for Ruby development under Fedora however.
