Unable to boot Fedora 27 Live USB with Dell Laptop

Not sure why I can't get this to work.
I have installed Ubuntu 17.10 successfully on this laptop...
So I know it's not a Linux issue.
I'm getting errors referring to dracut?
I created the Live USB using UNETBOOTIN on an Ubuntu PC...

I have googled the crap out of this, and the problem seems to have been around a while...
Any easy way to get a Fedora 27 Live USB install to boot?

    Cheers.

    See https://docs.fedoraproject.org/f27/i...tallation.html

Universal USB creation tools such as Unetbootin are a historically popular way to create USB installers from ISOs intended for optical media. ...
These methods circumvent the boot-loader configuration built into Fedora images .... They do not produce a consistent result with Fedora’s images, especially for use with UEFI systems.

Utilities that use a direct write method, and do not modify the Fedora image, will produce the most consistently successful results.

Using dd from a terminal has worked pretty much flawlessly for me for yonks for writing these usbs:
    Code:
    dd if=<file.iso> of=/dev/sd<x>
You can add configs like: bs=4M, or others, but the basic above works. You can run: sync, after running dd to ensure the write is completed to the usb.

Look at this fedora wiki: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_t...d_use_Live_USB

I agree with nsnbm -- the method that always works with a live fedora iso (or any other live Linux iso) is dd. However, if you want to create a multiboot or persistent fedora boot, dd is not the answer. The wiki mentioned above will cover getting persistence to work and there are other wikis that can help you create a multiboot usb drive -- the archlinux wiki being one of the best:
