    Fedora fan issues with Thinkpad

I'm dual booting Windows 10 and Fedora, and I've been having this issue for a while now.
The laptop shuts down and turns on on its own after a moment of use, without any notice and it's a nerve wrecking experience. My CPU hardly reaches 50% use, so heat shouldn't be the issue.
It works fine under Windows 10.

    What is the issue?

Re: Fedora fan issues with Thinkpad

Are you sure that you have a current version of Fedora and that the installation was flawless? Which version of Fedora have you installed? Are you using Gnome, or mate, kde, or ???. Describe your laptop, make, model, amount of memory and anything that one would need to help you solve your laptop problem.
