Foxit reader won't launch on Fedora 27

    Hello everyone,

I hope I'm asking this question in the correct section of this forum.
So I have Fedora 27 installed on my PC, and I installed Foxit reader. Unfortunately, when opening a pdf document with foxit reader, or when I simply open the application (in the /home/opt/ directory), the document doesn't open, although the process is active on system monitor (taking only 22.5 MiB of memory).
Can you help me? I really need Foxit reader because its commenting features are the best I found.

    Thanks a lot

Try running it from a terminal as it may be sending error messages that might help determine what is wrong.

Hmmmm, that looks a bit broken.
It seems to have some coding errors, and is failing to find some libraries.

Where did you install it from ?

I installed it from the Foxit's official site, by downloading it.
Actually I had another computer with Fedora 25 on it, so the computer support guys here did a transfer of data to my new PC (with Fedora 27).
All seems fine, except for Foxit Reader.
Hence I tried to uninstall and reinstall it, using Foxit's own uninstaller excutable, but that didn't work...

Re: Foxit reader won't launch on Fedora 27

Did it work when it was on the Fedora 25 computer ?
If so then some libraries or other files were left behind in the transfer.

I would try to do a reinstall from a fresh download.
If it still doesn't work you should probably contact Foxit.

Is there a specific requirement to use Foxit rather than the PDF viewers available in the Fedora repos? Evince & muPDF are my favourites.
