Live DVD Gets Stuck
I downloaded the Live Image version of Fedora 27 (Workstation), 64-bit. I verified the integrity of the .iso file after I downloaded it with the CHECKSUM file.
When I boot my desktop PC up with the Live Image, it gets stuck at a point where it says:
A startjob is running for Daemon for power management
My PC has an Intel DQ965GF motherboard with an Intel Pentium D 2.80GHz processor. The PC is probably more than 10 years old...
Does anyone have a solution to this issue?

Re: Live DVD Gets Stuck
I addedoption on boot. That solved the problem.

Re: Live DVD Gets Stuck
your use of nomodeset was a hint as it is commonly needed for nvidia hardware. if you had stated what gpu you had as well in your first post, you may have got a faster reply with the same solution. in any event, at least you are up and running with it

When I run the Live Image of Fedora 26 (as opposed to Fedora 27), I don't have to use the "nomodeset" command. Isn't this strange? That's why I did not think that mentioning the GPU installed was necessary...
